The Philosophy: Always with a Camera
“And Camera” is more than just a web magazine; it is a lifelong pursuit of capturing the essence of existence. Whether it is a fleeting daily moment or a profound message from the past, I believe photography is the art of “living with the lens.” This space was created to share that joy and to help everyone discover the timeless beauty hidden in their own perspectives.
Our Story: A Legacy of Light and Nara
My journey as a photographer is deeply rooted in heritage. I inherited my first professional tools—a Canon 10D and Photoshop—from my father, an avid photographer who taught me how to see the world through a viewfinder.
Based in the ancient capital of Nara, Japan, I have spent over 25 years traversing its historic landscapes. My work is a quiet dialogue with my hometown, capturing the “spirit of place” that has resided here for over a thousand years. I don’t just take pictures of Nara; I document its soul, one frame at a time.

The Craft: Masterpieces of Optics
To capture the delicate light and “air” of Nara, I rely on a curated collection of legendary optics. From the vintage warmth of Mamiya medium format and Nikon film cameras to the razor-sharp precision of modern Carl Zeiss Milvus and Fujifilm GFX systems, my gear is chosen to match the emotional depth of each scene.
