Beneath the ancient canopy of Kasuga Primeval Forest lies Shimo-no-Negimichi, a historic path once tread by Shinto priests. Often called the “Whispering Path,” this serene trail is lined with moss-covered stone walls and bathed in a soft, ethereal light that filters through the dense leaves. Walking here feels like stepping back a thousand years into Japan’s spiritual heart. I have dedicated many hours to capturing the profound silence and the sacred breath of the forest that lives along this path.
