こいのぼり　にぎわいの家

にぎわいの家ですが、100回ぐらい来てると思いますが、広角単焦点で撮影したのは初めてかもしれない…
なんかいつもより広すぎて落ち着かない…よくよく考えるとなんで今まで50mm以上のレンズしか使ってなかったの？
と自分に聞きたい。

４月中旬なので気が早いけど、こいのぼりが飾ってあった。
庭が広いので、そのまま庭に飾れるのね…流石、画商の家は違うわ…
外国人の旅行者もwow-ってびっくりしてたよ。

I’ve probably visited Nigiwai-no-Ie a hundred times, but this might be the first time I’ve ever shot here with a wide-angle prime. The field of view feels uncomfortably wide compared to what I’m used to… It makes me want to ask myself: “Why on earth have I only used 50mm lenses or longer until now?”

Carp Streamers at Nigiwai-no-Ie

It’s only mid-April, so it feels a bit early, but the Koinobori (carp streamers) were already on display. The garden is so spacious that they can just hang them right there… I guess that’s the luxury of a former art dealer’s estate for you.

Even the foreign tourists were stoping in their tracks, exclaiming “Wow!” in surprise.

奈良町　にぎわいの家

にぎわいの家で撮影したのですが、ここは私の撮影の原点のような場所でよく通っているのだけど、毎回展示物や生け花、演出が変えられていて関心する観光スポット。
四季ごとに写真も変わるしなかなかおすすめの場所。家はかなり光が入るので、人工光源はほとんどついていないので、大体自然光で撮れる。

The Silent Sanctuary of Nigiwai House

I shot these at Nigiwai-no-Ie, a place that feels like the very starting point of my photography. Even though I visit often, I’m constantly impressed by how they refresh the exhibits, flower arrangements, and overall presentation. It’s a wonderful spot where the photography itself transforms with each season.

One of the best things about this house is the abundance of natural light. There’s almost no artificial lighting used, allowing me to capture everything with purely natural light.
